Paradigm Entertainment Hit By THQ Closures

Paradigm Entertainment appears to be one of five studios owned by computer games maker THQ, which is being shut down this week. According to THQ, in an announcement of its earnings late Wednesday, the firm is cutting 250 employees, or 17 percent of its staff after reporting disappointing results and lower-than-anticipated international sales of its WALL-E title. THQ said the cuts to the studios is part of a significant business realignment as the firm looks to focus on fewer, higher quality titles. Exact impact on Paradigm Entertainment, which is based in Dallas, were not disclosed.
