OpenKey Wins Upscale Napa Valley Hotel

Dallas-based OpenKey, which provides mobile apps which allow smartphones to unlock hotel rooms, has signed up an upscale, eco-conscious Napa Valley hotel as its newest customers. OpenKey said that Bardessono Hotel and Spa, which is in California's Napa wine country, has selected its mobile app for mobile check-ins. Financial impact of the win was not announced. OpenKey said the selection both makes it more convenient for guests, as well as reduces the hotel's carbon footprint through the elimination of disposable plastic keys.
