OpenKey Wins Install At Beach Front Property In California

Dallas-based OpenKey, which is developing standards to allow for keyless entry to hotels, has scored another hotel win, this time along the Southern California beach front. OpenKey said that the Malibu Beach Inn, run by the Mani Brothers, will install its mobile key technology to allow for keyless access to rooms at the property. Financial deals of the win were not announced. The Malibu Beach Inn has a modest 47 rooms. OpenKey said the deal also provides mobile phone check in for the Malibu Beach Inn--letting guests check in without ever visiting the front desk. OpenKey is led by TJ Person, and is backed by a consortium of hotel ownership and management companies.
