OneSpot Raises $4.2M

Austin-based OneSpot, a startup which aggregates, filters, and delivers content for web publishers, said this morning that it has raised $4.2M in a Series A funding. The round was led by Silver Creek Ventures. Silver Creek's John Adler joins the board along with the funding, as does Bazaarvoice CEO Brett Hurt. OneSpot's service monitors web sources and aggregates and filters them for inclusion by web publishers. The firm was founded by Matt Cohen. Mike Maples, former EVP Worldwide Products at Microsoft, also invested in the round. OneSpot has previously raised capital from the Central Texas Angel Network.
