Omnitracs Moves Headquarters To Dallas

Omnitracs, a developer of fleet management software owned by Vista Equity Partners, is moving its headquarters to Dallas, according to Governor Rick Perry. The Governor's office said that the Texas Enterprise Fund has invested $3.9M in Omnitracs as part of the effort to move the company. The move creates 450 jobs in Dallas. The company is the third that Texas has managed to snagged from the San Diego, California region--other companies that have moved to Dallas due to those efforts include Websense and Active Network, also owned by Vista Equity Partners. Omnitracs was formerly part of Qualcomm.
