Night Owl Games Gains Rights To Dungeon Overload

Austin-based game development studio Night Owl Games has taken on the sale, marketing, and operations of its Dungeon Overlord game from Sony Online Entertainment, the firm said this morning. Night Owl, which is headed by Chris Mayer, had co-developed the game with Sony Online Entertainment. Night Owl said that under the terms of its agreement, it will take on sales, marketing, and operations of Dungeon Overlord, in addition to its ongoing development of the title. Dungeon Overlord is a Facebook game aimed at hardcore gamers. Sony Online Entertainment said the shift comes as the company moves "back towards our MMO roots".
