    The Zebra Finds $40M
    Austin-based The Zebra, which operates an online auto insurance comparison marketplace, has raised $40M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Accel Partners, and also included Silverton Partners, Floodgate, Ballast Point Ventures, Mark Cuban, Daher Capital, and Birchmere Labs. The company has now raised a total of $61.5M.

    Tyler Technologies Wins Odessa
    Plano-based Tyler Technologies says it has signed a deal with the city of Odessa, Texas, for its Munis enterprise resource planning software. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Tyler said Odessa is using its software for financial, human resources, and revenue management. Odessa has a population of nearly 120,000.

    Stratus Video Opens Office In Dallas
    Florida-based Startus Video, a provider of video remote languages services, says it is opening up a new facility in Dallas, to help support telehealth customers in Texas and beyond. The company said it expects to create nearly 200 jobs over the next 12 months. Stratus Video provides medically certified interpreters and customer service representatives.
