    Embark Donates Over $10K To Harvey Relief Efforts
    Dog DNA testing startup Embark said today that it has donated over $10,000 to organizations helping animals impacted by Hurricane Harvey, including the Houston Humane Society and Austin Dog Alliance. According to Embark, the donations came as a result of an effort to donate 100% of its net profits on its consumer website sales between Wednesday, 8/30 to Sunday 9/3. $3,000 will be donated to the Houston Humane Society and $3,000 to the SPCA of Texas, wit (More info...)

    Texas Instruments Rolls Out Educational Robot
    Dallas-based Texas Instruments has rolled out a new, educational robot--its first--called the TI-Innovator Rover. According to TI, the new robot is aimed for use in classrooms in STEM programs, allowing students without any coding experience to learn how to control robots.     Zix Buys Entelligence Messaging Server
    Dallas-based email security provider Zix announced this morning that it has acquired the Entelligence Messaging Server technology from B>>Entrust Datacard. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. According to Zix, the acquisition will help strengthen its email encryption capabilities.     Swirlds Scores $3M For Blockchain Alternative
    Dallas-based Swirlds, a developer of peer-to-peer, distributed ledger software that seeks to act as an alternative to Blockchain, the technology behind Bitcoin, has raised $3M in a seed funding round. The funding was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA).
