NASA Connects Space Station To the Web, Twitter

NASA said Friday morning from Houston's NASA Johnson Space Center, that it has given astronauts aboard the International Space Station live access to the Internet and the World Wide Web--and micro messaging service Twitter--in a new upgrade to the station's software. According to NASA, the new live connection willl give astronauts the ability to browse and use the web, as well as directly communicate with others on Earth. The first use by the astronauts was by T.J. Creamer, who posted a live update to his Twitter account. Creamer and others previously had Twitter accounts, however, those updates were manually copied from emails by ground staff.
