Mozido Gets $30M For Mobile Payment Services

Austin-based Mozido, the mobile payment developer founded by Michael Liberty, said Thursday that it has raised $30M, part of a committed $70M financing round for the company. The round came from an un-named, Boston-based investment advisory firm. Mozido said that as part of the funding, Ric Duques, former Chairman and COE of First Data Corporation, has become Chairman of the company's board. Mozido's other backers are Brentwood Investments, TomorrowVentures, and Atlanticus Corporation. The company said it has now raised over $100M in funding.
