Mouser, Grant Imahara Team To Let You Print Your 3D Design In Space

In the latest promotion from Dallas and Fort Worth-based electronics distributor Mouser and spokesperson and celebrity Grant Imahara, the company said that it is running a new contest which will let one of its customers 3D print their own design aboard the International Space Station (ISS). According to Mouser, its new competition will challenge college and university students, engineers, and makers to create a 3D printable project which will help ISS astronauts in space. The new I.S.S. Design Challenge will be open until October 7th. Mouser is teaming up with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Made In Space, and Hackster and MacroFab on the new competition, which also will award a 3D printer and consultation with Made In Space, in addition to seeing their 3D design printed on the ISS. Imahara is one of the former co-hosts of Discovery's MythBusters.
