HomeAway Names New European Head
Austin-based HomeAway, which operates a network of vacation rental websites, said today that it has named Petra Friedmann as President of HomeAway Europe. The firm said that Friedmann replaces Alexis de Belloy, who will transfer to a similar position overseeing HomeAway brands in the U.S. Friedmann is a veteral of the travel agency, and was most recently at Opodo, an online travel agency. She has also served at QXL, Mosaic travel, and Marmara. Friedmann will be based in Paris. HomeAway is venture backed by Technology Crossover Ventures, IVP, and Redpoint Ventures.
