Mirage Signs Hotel Customer

Mirage Networks, a manufacturer of network-access-control devices, revealed Tuesday that Southern Californian lodging firm Evans Hotels has deployed Mirage's NAC solution for its collection of properties. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Mirage explained that Evans, which offers Wi-Fi and unrestricted Internet access at its locations, implemented the device to protect its guests and corporate networks from zero-day security threats and to meet Payment Card Industry requirements. The Austin, Texas-based business said its patented NAC technology will help ensure network compliance by allowing only authorized endpoints to access the network and by pervasive monitoring of all network traffic. Mirage added that its reseller partner, Network Vigilance, participated in the transaction and will provide managed services.
