Michael Dell Backs Cloudera In Massive Financing Round

Dell founder Michael Dell has made an investment in Apache Hadoop software developer Cloudera, in a massive, $900M funding round the company announced Monday. Cloudera, which is based in Silicon Valley, said it raised $900M from T. Rowe Price, Google Ventures, MSD Capital, as well as Intel Capital. The bulk of the investment round came from Intel, which now owns 18% of Cloudera. More information »
