Lynx Laboratories Acquired By Occipital

Austin-based Lynx Laboratories, which develops mobile 3D scanning software, has been acquired by Boulder, Colorado-based Occipital, the two companies said this week. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Occipital, which also develops 3D motion capture software, said that Lynx's entire team will join the company in Boulder, and that it has acquired all Lynx technologies and intellectual property. Lynx first came to life through a Kickstarter campaign to create a 3D motion capture camera; the company has since refocused on the software behind that camera.
