Luminary Micro Draws $25M in Series C Funding

Luminary Micro Inc., a manufacturer of ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontrollers, announced Wednesday that it has raised $25M in its Series C funding round. Luminary said new investor Adams Street Partners participated in the effort along with existing investors New Enterprise Associates, EXA Ventures and ATA Ventures. As a result, Tom Berman, an Adams Street partner, has joined Luminary's board of directors, the company said. Luminary Micro's flagship product is the Stellaris microcontroller family, which is used by embedded hardware designers for designing electronic products.
