LivingTree Acquires Edbacker

Austin-based LivingTree, which develops software that helps teachers and schools raising funding from parents, and also helps in engaging parents, said today that it has acquired Edbacker, the developer of a district fundraising tool. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Edbacker was venture backed by 1776, Moonshots Capital, Michael Chasen (Former Blackboard Founder and CEO), Capital Factory of Austin, and Acrebay Investment Management. LivingTree also said it has named Edbacker founder and CEO Gary Hensley as its new CEO.
