Layered Tech Appoints Security Head

Plano-based Layered Technologies, the provider of managed hosting services, said today that it has named Jeff Reich as its new Chief Risk Officer. Layered said that Reich joins from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he was director of operations of its Insitute for Cyber Security (ICS). Reich also has been at Rackspace Hosting, where he was also Chief Security Officer, in addition to serving at CheckFree and Dell. Layered Technologies said that Reich will focus on security and risk management at the company.
