KingIsle Harnesses Holiday Elephants For Children's Charities

Ever wish you could dress up and sell elephants in Holiday garb to raise money for charity? That might not work so well in the real world, but in the virtual worlds of Wizard101 and Pirate101, it's exactly what Plano-based KingIsle Entertainment is doing. The online game maker said today that it has launched a new holiday promotion to help raise money form local, children's related charities in the state via its online games, by offering up a holiday-themed elephant for purchase in those games, donating the proceeds of those purchases to to Make-A-Wish Central and South Texas, which will also go to the Austin Children's Shelter and Children's Medical Center at Legacy in Plano. The elephant can be ridden by players in the games. KingIsle said up to $50,000 will be given to the local Texas children's charities through the promotion.
