Kahoot Hits 1 Billion Total Players

Kahoot!, the online game-based learning and education software developer which has offices in Austin, said today that it has reached a cumulative 1 billion participating players since it has launched. Of those billion, the company says it is seeing 40 million monthly active users (MAUs) on its platform, which is 60 percent growth from the same time last year. About 67 percent of those players are now in the United States. Kahoot's software lets users create and share their own quiz-based learning games on any subject in any language; Kahoot opened up an office at Austin's Capital Factory last year.
