Jutera's Perk Browser Looks To Reward Web Surfing, Shopping

A new, web browser developed by Austin-based incubator Jutera Labs looks to reward users for using the software for their web surfing and shopping. According to Jutera, its new Perk web browser is built on the open source Chromium browser, and rewards users for surfing the web, searching, and shopping. The company said users earn "Perk Points" which they can redeem for actual products and services. Perk looks to be taking advantage of widespread affiliate programs from online retailers to collect a portion of the sales at those websites, and returns a portion via its points program. Perk is headed by Roj Niyogi, and the company says it is backed by Insight Capital. Chromium is the backend source based on Google's Chrome browser.
