Intel Capital Invests $11M in Israeli Tech Firm

Intel Capital, the global investment arm of semiconductor manufacturer Intel Corp., announced Tuesday that it has invested $11 million in an Israeli firm with Austin operations. Intel said that it made the investment in Jordan Valley Semiconductors, Ltd., which has engineering, customer support and marketing operations in Austin. Jordan Valley develops products used in the semiconductor manufacturing market, for X-ray metrology. The products are used to enable accurate and precise measurements of various thin-film applications involved in semiconductor manufacturing. Intel Capital is the venture capital arm of semiconductor giant Intel. Jordan Valley Semiconductors Ltd. maintains research, development and manufacturing facilities in Migdal Ha 'Emek, Israel.
