i2 Technologies Acquired By JDA Software

Dallas-based i2 Technologies, a developer of supply chain management software, is being acquired by competitor JDA Software, the firms said today. According to the companies, deal is worth $434.4M, and will create a new company with combined revenues of approximately $617M. JDA and i2 said they expets the transaction to close in Q2 of 2010. The firms did not disclose what impact the deal would have on i2's local employment and jobs. JDA was advised by Goldman Sachs and DLA Piper in the deal; i2 was advised by Thomas Wiesel Partners and Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C.. JDA had attempted to acquire i2 last December, but the deal fell through after JDA needed more time to complete the transaction.
