i2's McGrath Resigns, Chatterjee Named Interim CEO

Supply chain and business process management software developer i2 Technologies Inc. announced Tuesday that Michael E. McGrath resigned his position as president and chief executive officer on Monday. The Dallas, Texas-based firm had reported in May that McGrath was expected to retire before the end of the year. However, McGrath, who is leaving to pursue other interests, will remain with the company as CEO emeritus through Oct. 31, i2 said, adding that he will assist the board of directors in its search for a replacement. Until one is found, i2 said Dr. Pallab K. Chatterjee, the company’s executive vice president and chief delivery officer, will serve as interim CEO. i2 added that Chatterjee, who joined the company in January 2000 as chief operating officer, is a candidate for the permanent CEO position.
