Huawei Sets Up Shop In Richardson
Huawei, a major manufacturer of telecommunications networking equipment, said Monday that it has opened up a new laboratory in Richardson, as the firm looks to better supports its United States and Canadian customers. Huawei said that its Long Term Evolution (LTE) laboratory will serve operators and industry partners in North America. The Chinese firm said that the local facility will allow local research and development teams to work with North American operators testing LTE systems from the firm. Size and number of employees at the new lab were not announced by the company.
