HomeAway Buys New Zealand Vacation Rentals Site

Austin-based HomeAway said this week that it has acquired Bookabach Limited, which operates a vacation rental site in New Zealand. HomeAway did not announced the price or terms of cash deal, but said it will hire on Bookabach co-founder Peter Miles as General Manager of Bookabach, and will also hire on the company's seven person Auckland team. HomeAWay said Bookabach and affiliated Australian vacation rentals site Bookastay feature more than 8,000 property listings across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
