HelioVolt Assets Go Up For Grabs

The assets of defunct solar manufacturer HelioVolt are up for bid at a sale Wednesday and Thursday of the company's assets, according to auctioneer Silicon Valley Disposition. HelioVolt--which suspended its operations last year after one of its investors pulled the plug on the company--had raised a total of $233M in funding for its thin film, solar products. Silicon Valley Disposition said it is selling all of HelioVolt's 120,00 square foot manufacturing plant in Austin, selling everything from solar panel manufacturing equipment, to laptops and other office equipment, the company's break room refrigerator and even the company's front desk, complete with Heliovolt logo.
