Handango Inks Distribution Deal with Euro Retailer

Texas-based smartphone content provider Handango said earlier this week that it has entered the European marketplace thanks to a distribution agreement with The Carphone Warehouse, Europe's largest independent mobile phone retailer. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Handango said the partnership's first collaboration will be the development of applications specifically for the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 smartphone that is sold in The Carphone Warehouse stores throughout the United Kingdom. Handango explained that the applications will include mobile games, instant messengers and an HTML e-mail viewer. Handango is headquartered in Hurst, Texas.
