Gowalla Rolls Out Country Pins
Austin-based Gowalla, the location-based check-in startup which allows users to "check in" to various locations and share what users are doing with others, said Wednesday afternoon that it has added Country Pins to the service. The pins show pins on a user's account when those users first check into a location in individual countries. The service already features pins for individuals when they first check into a state, but this is the first time it has added countries to the service. Gowalla said it is initially supporting around 50 countries with the new pins, and that it will be awarding those pins retroactively to users, as well.
