Gowalla Opens Up API Access

Austin-based location based check-in firm Gowalla said yesterday that its Check In API is now available to all developers. According to the firm, the API--which was initially announced in February--is now available to any developer who wants to use it. The API--based on the open OAuth standard--allows third party developers to create their own applications which can check users into locations or access other location information.
