GM To Hire 500 In Austin For Software, IT Work

Austin's technology job picture just brightened again this morning, after automaker GM said it is opening up a new center in Austin, where it hopes to hire up to 500 new positions in software, database, and other IT areas. According to GM, the new center is one of a number which it says it plans to open in the U.S. focused on information technology innovation.
