GM Maven Launches In Austin

General Motors' electric car rental service, Maven, said over the weekend that it is expanding into Austin, and will offer up access to 20 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles in the city for use in "gig economy" jobs, such as ridesharing, package, or food delivery. According to GM's Maven, it selected Austin as a result of the city's passion for tech start-ups, combined with its high concentration of college students. Maven said the cars will start at $229 per week plus taxes, which includes maintenance, insurance, and unlimited miles.
