Gene by Gene Buys Arpeggi

Houston-based consumer DNA testing provider Gene by Gene announced this morning that it has acquired Arpeggi, a startup which develops products in the genome sequencing, data management and computational analysis area. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Arpeggi was based in Austin. According to Gene by Gene, the deal will accelerate the company's suite of genetics testing and diagnostics services. Gene by Gene is focused on DNA testing the the ancestry and genealogy applications area.
