GENBAND Wins Horry Telephone

Plano-based GENBAND, a developer of telecom equipment, said this morning that it has scored a win with Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC). GENBAND said that Horry is using its G6 Univeral Gateway product as part of a transition of its legacy network to new, Class 5 softswitch infrastructure. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. GENBAND said the win comes courtesy of a 2006 acquisition, where it acquired part of Siemens' circuit-switch business.
