Gazzang Partners With DataStax

Austin-based data security and encryption developer Gazzang has partnered with a fellow software developer, DataStax, to provide its encryption software for DataStax' customers, the two said this morning. The companies said Gazzang zNcrypt is available as a integrated data security solution for DataStax Enterprise customers. Financial details of the link were not disclosed. DataStax develops a commercial version of Apache Casandra, a NoSQL database product focused on the big data segment. Gazzang offers up software which helps secure and encrypt data in open source databases, and is venture backed by Austin Ventures and Silver Creek Ventures. The company is run by Larry Warnock.
