GasBuddy Rolls Out New Features For Gas Shortage Tracking In Texas

GasBuddy, the developer of a popular app used to find fuel prices across the country, has rolled out quick web service, to help residents of Texas who are now having difficulty finding fuel and open gas stations. According to GasBuddy, it has launched a new website to track real time gas availability in Texas, where residents impacted by Hurricane Harvey can report if a gas station has fuel, no fuel, and if there is electricity or not. The company also said it will provide push notifications on rising gas prices in their area through its smartphone app. As of Thursday evening, the site was showing a mishmash of stations with and without fuel, in Houston, Austin, Dallas, and beyond.
