GameStop Simplifies Trade-Ins

Grapevine, Texas-based videogame retailer GameStop said Monday that it is simplifying its trade in program, and will offer more to users for their old video games. According to the retailer, it is dropping the number of trade in pricing points form 10 down to four, to make it easier for its customers to sell back games. The comapny also is offering up bigger incentives for customers to take store credit, rather than cash, for their video games. GameStop said that last year, it issued $1.2 billion in trade-in credits to its customers, who can then turn around and buy new games, game controllers, and other electronics. The new program kicks off next week.
