GameStop Sees Increase In Holiday Sales

Grapevine-based GameStop reported yesterday that it saw record sales results for its 2010 holiday season. According to the company, it sold $3.02 billion for the nine week holiday period ended January 1, 2011, up 5.4 percent compared to the same period in 2009. Comparable store sales increased 3.4 percent. The firm said the sales increase came to due both interest in Microsoft Kinect hardware, and new software sales.
