GameSalad Finds $6M

Austin- and Los Angeles-based GameSalad, the developer of game creation software for the iPhone, has raised $6.1M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Steamboat Ventures, and also included Greycroft Partners, DFJ Mercury, DFJ Frontier, and ff Asset Management. GameSalad's software allows non-programmers to create their own games which run on the iPhone. As part of the funding, Beau Laskey of Steamboat Ventures has joined the board, with Greycroft Partner's Dana Settle serving as an observer. More information »
