FreightWatch Gets $10M

Austin-based FreightWatch International, a provider of logistics security, said today that it has raised $10M in a growth equity investment. The round was led by Bridge Investments LLC, a private equity firm based in Chicago. FreightWatch helps monitor the supply chain for companies, helping firms to detect cargo theft. FreightWatch provides electronic freight security, 24/7 monitoring, security escorts, cargo assessments, and other services for firms looking to prevent theft of cargo being shipped; the firm said it specifically is helping to prevent cargo theft of pharmceuticals, electronics, and other consumer-focused goods.
