Freescale Wins Chinese Firm

Austin-based Freescale has scored a design win with a Chinese networking switch maker, the firm said late Tuesday evening. Freescale said it has been selected by H3 Technologies, a Chinese supplier of networking equipment which is a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard. Freescale said H3C is using its QorIQ multicore processors as part of a new, multi-service routing switch product. Shipment volumes and financial impact of the win was not announced.
