Freescale Installs Su as Senior VP, CTO

Austin, Texas-based Freescale Semiconductor, a designer and manufacturer of embedded computer chips for the automotive, consumer, industrial, networking and wireless markets, revealed Monday that it has hired Dr. Lisa Su as its new senior vice president and chief technology officer. Freescale said Su, who was previously IBM's vice president of semiconductor research and development, will oversee the company’s global technical research and development activities. Freescale added that Su boasts more than 13 years of experience in the fields of technology development and product management.
