FounderDating Aims At Austin

Are you an aspiring entrepreneur in Austin, but just can't find the right person to help start your company? A new group--inspired by online dating sites--is hoping to bring its method of connecting the dots between co-founders to Austin. FounderDating, whose Austin efforts are being run by Damon Clinkscales, said yesterday that it has opened up a round of connecting entrepreneurs with other co-founders in Austin. Deadline to apply for the group locally is August 15th. The group says it is an invite-only, online network designed to help entrepreneurs connect with cofounders, and is carefully screened. The group aims to have a mix of 50 percent engineers, and 50 percent non-engineers in its network, and said it is looking for people "ready to work on a serious side project". Clinkscales is a Web engineer at VitalSource.
