Fonality Gets Two Patents

Dallas-based business phone systems developer Fonality said this week that it has been awarded two patents for its technology. Fonality said the patents cover universal queuing for inbound communications and the other for distributed communication control. Both were approved earlier this year. The first, Patent No. 8379832, was approved February 19th, and according to the USPTO had been originally filed on May 3, 2007; that patent names Chris Lyman as the inventor; the second, Patent No. 8341535, was awarded on December 25, 2012, and also named Lyman. Lyman, who was CEO and CTO at Fonality, left Fonality back in 2011.
