FiveRuns Finds Funding

Austin, Texas-based FiveRuns said today that it has raised $6.2M in a venture round from Austin Ventures. The firm, which develops software for monitoring Ruby on Rails and other open source and commercial software, said the funding will go towards product development, sales and marketing, and partnership efforts. The round brings the company's total raised to $9.2M. As part of the funding, FiveRuns said it has appointed Olivier Thierry as President and CEO; Dean Cruse as VP of Marketing; and Steve Sanderson as VP Development and Technology. Thierry joins from Mission Critical Software and NetIQ; Cruse from PerformanceRetail; and Sanderson from Sapling Systems. More information »
