Fedex Office Rolls Out Free Wi-Fi

Dallas-based FedEx Office, the provider copy, print, and shipping services which was previously FedEx Kinko's, said today that it has rolled out free, unlimited Wi-Fi at most of its U.S. locations. According to Fedex Office, it has tapped At&T to provide the free access at more than 1,000 of its Office Print and Ship Centers in the U.S. FedEx Office had previously charged visitors to its locations for computer rental, and also charged for associated Wi-Fi access. FedEx said it will roll out free Wi-Fi to its remaining locations by the end of the month. In making the move, FedEx Office seems to be looking to give more reasons for its customers to spend more time at its locations: the firm said the free Wi-Fi will help professionals connect to the Internet at a location which is "conducive to working on the go."
