eyeQ Gets $1.2M For In-Store Touchscreens

Austin-based eyeQ, a new startup developing technology to help brick and mortar stores better engage with their customers via interactive touch-screens and ratings and reviews, has raised $1.2M in a funding round. According to the company, the funding came from From Corsa Ventures, DreamIt, Houston Angel Network, and South Coast Angel Network. eyeQ is led by Michael Garel. The company said the funds go towards expanding its business, adding customers, and reaching additional brands and retailers. eyeQ's offering revolves around an interactive touch screen to help shoppers discover new products, view ratings and reviews, and get recommendations.
