Entrust Upgrades Security Product

Dallas-based Entrust, a developer of security software, said Tuesday that the firm has enhanced the firm's multi-factor authentication platform. According to Entrust, the firm has improved its Entrust IdentityGuard platform by adding self-service capability to the product. Acccording to the firm, it has created a new feature called "eGrid" which allows users to implement strong authentication without requiring expensive third-party hardware tokens. The firm's IdentityGuard software is used by IT organizations to protect applications; the software provides features such as allowing users to reset passwords via the web, change security questions, and otherwise manage their login information.
