Encomia Names CIO

Houston-based Encomia, a publisher of Web-based mortgage loan-processing software, reported Monday that it has hired Phil Boyer as chief information officer. Encomia described Boyer as a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry, including 16 years leading strategic banking initiatives. Encomia said Boyer’s responsibilities will include overseeing product development, setting the technical direction for product integrations and guiding development methodology and processes. Prior to joining Encomia, Boyer served as technology director for Aegis Funding Corp. Before that, he was vice president of eBusiness Delivery for Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank.
