Eltek Wins Solar Energy Deal In Zimbabwe

Eltek, the developer of power electronics which has its U.S. headquarters in Plano, says it has been selected in a major solar power install deal for 104 hospitals in Zimbabwe. The contract comes from the United National Development Programme (UNDP), as part of an effort to provide safe, reliable and environmentally friendly electricity to hospitals in remote areas, where they have no electric grid access. Eltek said those systems are expected to be installed this summer. Eltek did not say how much that UNDP contract is worth to the company. Eltek's global headquarters are now in Norway.
